LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Set marijuana prisoners free
November 19, 2012 · Updated 10:11 AM
To the editor:
Now that the people have spoken and overwhelmingly approved the use of marijuana as a recreational drug, it is appropriate that the Washington State Attorney General should review those cases where individuals have been incarcerated for using it. Absent any other crime, they should be released immediately.
For this to happen he needs to hear from the people loud and clear that these “offenders” should be released. Without public pressure nothing will happen. Please call the new State Attorney General, Bob Ferguson, 360-753-6200, or e-mail using the AG website, and go to “Contact Us.”
