LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | State does not require recycling program

December 26, 2012 · Updated 11:55 AM

To the editor:

I am an avid recycler, but I do not support a recycling service for Island Disposal that requires every customer to fund. Sorry to say, recycling is not a Washington state law. Until it is, however, making customers who do not recycle (or those who already do so on their own) pay for a service they do not want is wrong.
