LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Bagel maker could use some help

February 8, 2013 · Updated 3:44 PM

To the editor:

Do you value your Kiichli bagels? I sure do, and I also appreciate Larry the bagel man getting up at 2 a.m. so I can enjoy my fresh bagel every morning.

As all Kiichli Bagel Bakery patrons know, the Ken’s Corner business has been closed for three weeks due to bagel oven failure. Larry has had a challenging time getting a “new” used oven that works. Besides the expected $4,600 oven bill, he’s lost three weeks of business sales. Let’s show Larry we appreciate his craft, that we value local bagels on the island, that we’ll support his desire to keep making great bagels.

Mail a check of any amount to support the oven repair to Kiichli`s Bagel Bakery, Ken`s Corner Shopping Center, 4402 Hwy. 525 Suite 124, Clinton, WA, 98236. Help buy the oven, let’s get the business open, and show Larry we care about our neighbor.
