LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | Pizzeria work requires closure

To the editor:

Village Pizzeria is celebrating its 20th year at our location on First Street in Langley. We have been in the process of restoring the building and expanding the Pizzeria’s seating and kitchen capacity.

This project started in October, dismantling the former Whidbey Inn piece by piece, recycling as much material as possible, complying with current structural, health and City of Langley codes as required by numerous agencies.

We are in the final stages in our project that necessitates closing the Pizzeria for approximately two weeks beginning Monday, March 18, through April 1. We’d like to thank the community for its support and enthusiasm and look forward to expected reopening early April.

As a reminder a limited selection of our hand made take-and-bake pizzas are available at Goose Community Grocers in Bayview and Clinton Foodmart in Clinton.
