Letters to the Editor

LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Newspaper left out valued details

One of my favorite pieces in the South Whidbey Record is the “Hometown Hero” articles. I was so pleased when Susan Knickerbocker, writer of this piece, shared with me that Jim and Larry had been chosen as last month’s Hometown Hero(s). I anxiously looked forward to reading an article that I was sure would be dynamic. I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed in the final product.

Personal comments were omitted from their story and because of this I feel that Jim and Larry were not portrayed in the way in which many of us who really know them see them.
