To the editor:

Many of our animals are sensitive, even traumatized, by fireworks.

I remember reading a letter to the editor in last year’s Record about a pet curling up in the bathtub to try to escape the noise.

Rescue Remedy, a safe, natural, homeopathic flower preparation, might be quite helpful for many of those noise-sensitive companion animals. It should be available at Living Green, Star Basics and any pharmacy or health food store where homeopathic remedies are sold.

I, like many others in this community, would prefer that fireworks were limited to public displays, but, in the meantime, Rescue Remedy might be an effective option.
