LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Kramer deserves recent honor

Editor,

Congratulations to Tom Kramer for his recent induction to South Whidbey High School’s coach’s hall of fame.

Few from our community can match the positive impact Mr. Kramer has had on generations of local citizens. I was fortunate to be a student in one of his first contemporary problems classes and know firsthand his quiet passion for excellent teaching and raising awareness of the world in which we live. He is constantly motivating those around him to achieve their potential.

My children also benefited from his dedication to education, international travel and tennis coaching. During his career he celebrated the success of his students on and off the court. He understands that important life lessons are learned in the process, which will guide them for years to come.

With 39 years of dedicated service in our schools, and an impressive record as tennis coach, it is fitting that Tom Kramer be honored in this way. Thank you, Mr. Kramer, for so generously sharing your gifts with us.
