LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Celebrate America was fantastic event

To the editor:

We want to again thank you everyone that put all of the work into the July 3 celebration with an outstanding fireworks show in Freeland at Holmes Harbor.

We would never miss this show, neither would our friends and relatives, who drive a long distance now to come and view this. Nowhere in all of our travels have we seen such a public display. This is our favorite event of the year.

We hope that everyone donates to the program. I think it is Assembly of God Church along with other churches.

We would ask everyone to consider not spending money on fireworks for themselves in their backyards or beaches, but rather donate to this event and come and see where all may enjoy the best show ever and the safest. It shows what many can do together, and all can enjoy; church and non-church people alike.

Thank you. We are all looking forward to Celebrate America 2009 in Freeland.
