To the editor:

I hope the anonymous Partner in Prevention who put a $100 bill in IDIPIC’s donation box at our July 5 panel in Freeland reads this.

I would like that person and the people of South Whidbey to know that very generous giving covered the cost of not only an IDIPIC class presentation to Mr. John LaVassar’s driver’s education class at South Whidbey High School on July 23, but also two more of his classes there, as well, later this year.

That donation means about

100 of our youngest drivers who are learning the rules of the road will get the opportunity to try the “eye-opening” Fatal Vision goggles, engage in discussion on indicators of impairment and much more.

Thank you to this and all our Partners in Prevention. Your support comes back to all of us we hope in “safer kids, safer roads” in our communities.
