To the editor:

A community forum, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Clinton Community Hall, will allow voters the opportunity to ask questions both of the proposed PUD and PSE regarding the eventual supplier of power for those who reside on the island.

I strongly encourage voters to attend this function in order to educate themselves.

Be wary of claims without the statistical information to back up those claims. Insist on reviewing their information before you make up your minds.

In other words, talk is cheap; make them show you factual information to back up what they are telling you.

If they cannot produce this information at the meeting, then you have a pretty good idea as to whether or not their claims are valid and they are most likely just telling you what you want to hear.
