LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Let’s hear reasons for mayor’s raise
November 18, 2008 · Updated 4:49 PM
To the editor:
I would like to ask a public question to the mayor of Langley.
After an article in The Record, I found you have accepted a salary increase.
How can you justify accepting a salary increase from the city to $51,000-plus?
In these times of recession, and you having the income from your barber shops, as well as from the city, I don’t think you can justify that acceptance.
Would you please, publicly, answer?
Rick H. Smith
