LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Students learn a valuable lesson
May 8, 2009 · Updated 7:33 AM
To the editor:
Congratulations to the students of South Whidbey who learned a valuable lesson in these unfortunate economic times.
When professional people (teachers) hold onto old work rules (seniority employment rules) meant for early mass production (where all workers had the capability to do their cookie-cutter jobs to the same result), some excellent teachers suffer at the expense of some less able teachers; and all customers (students) are left with a lower-quality product (educational quality).
