LETTER TO THE EDITOR | County crew was quick to help
June 8, 2009 · Updated 8:16 AM
To the editor:
Everyone hears the negative but here is a positive. Recently, water was running down Woodard Road potentially creating a driving hazard. I contacted Freeland Water District, thinking it was a broken pipe.
Two days later, I saw an Island County road crew digging in the area. It seems it was not a broken pipe but a clogged culvert. Two hours later the problem was solved.
Three cheers for the Freeland Water District, which forwarded the concern, and for the county road crew who responded quickly and efficiently.
Your tax dollars do work, and the county is responsive. Thank you.
