To the editor:

I’d like to thank publicly two individuals, Hazen Anderson and Sue Richards, for taking their time to pick up the scattered remains of my metal clipboard that I had inadvertently left on the fender of one of my vehicles after refueling at the Freeland Texaco.

The clipboard was beyond repair, but the contents, which included several important documents and was scattered all over the highway and surrounding area were saved. They not only took time from their schedules, they went out of their way to contact me and return those items to me.

It is people like these individuals that make living here on South Whidbey a wonderful place to live, and set examples for others to follow. Thank you!
