To the editor:

The South Whidbey Youth Soccer Club extends a heartfelt thank you to all of the volunteers that helped to make this year’s Soccerfest 2009 a huge success.

We could not have pulled off this event without the support of the many members and their families who contributed their time and energy.

We would especially like to recognize the efforts of Beth and Gary Smith from Mukilteo Coffee Roasters, Gil Low, Alexa Brewster, Alannah Alber, Allison Wood, David Lux, Brett and Scott Warwick, South Whidbey Parks & Recreation, and Sebastian Le Toux of the Seattle Sounders FC (whose hand must be tired from signing all of those shirts!).

It was a great pleasure to be able to host an event that included soccer players and their families from the entire island at our beautiful South Whidbey Sports Complex.

We hope to see you all next year for Soccerfest 2010.
