LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Congress should sign up for whatever health plan they vote for

To the editor:

Interesting, don’t you think, that Congress has exempted themselves, all other federal employees, and union members from Obamacare? Oh yes, also, union members will not be taxed for their healthcare benefits, whereas the rest of us separate-but-equal Americans will have to pay taxes on the benefits. Wait! That doesn’t sound so equal. Oh well, not to worry, it’s still separate.

I have a proposal for everyone reading this — whether they love Obamacare or hate it. I suggest that everyone demand that our congressional representatives pledge to give up their cushy federal healthcare and enroll in whatever plan they vote in for us. Hey, that might even encourage them to actually read the bill they vote for. What a concept.
