To the editor:

The letter by Hal Seligson in Saturday’s paper really gives all the right reasons for supporting Washington families. However, his call to action was contrary.

For the Domestic Partnership Law to remain intact we must vote to APPROVE Referendum 71.

Because this is a referendum to the people challenging an already existing law, it is written in the positive. This means that we must vote to APPROVE 71 for the law to be enacted.

Voting is essential so that Washington does not go the way of California through their Proposition 8.

Support all Washington families, vote to approve Ref. 71.
