To the editor:

Members of South Whidbey Mardi Unit of Ryther Child Center, located in North Seattle, wish to take this opportunity to thank our many auction donors, as well as our many friends, relatives and neighbors, in making our recent fundraising auction/raffle/dinner “Denim ’n’ Diamonds” a huge success.

Thanks to our soulmate auctioneer, Jim Freeman, for a superb job and support. Thanks to the Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club for the use of its great facility. Thanks to manager Cheryl Lee and her staff for their hard work and support. All went smoothly. Thanks, also, to Brian Kelly, Record editor, for doing our publicity with perfect timing.

The kids at Ryther will benefit greatly from the success of this event. All money goes directly to the center to help kids who need counseling, love and direction in their lives. The center is known for its professional attachment to these kids to help make them into happy citizens of their community. It’s a unique facility. Anyone wishing to find out more about this center can call 206-525-5959.

Thanks to all for making “Denim ’n’ Diamonds” a very fulfilling affair for all concerned.
