To the editor:

I would like to thank Bill O’Brien and the paid staff at the M-Bar-C Ranch for many years of service to our community. They helped brighten the lives of many children and adults from our community and other communities who sought a day or two of respite from the realities of more difficult lives. With the Forgotten Children’s Fund’s recent decision to restructure the ranch’s operations with an all-volunteer crew, it is with much sadness that I say goodbye to these incredible folks.

The M-Bar-C Ranch is blessed with a large roster of talented and caring volunteers who will now take on the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the ranch. This is a great task, but I’m confident that Bill’s legacy of hard work mixed with lots of fun will keep the ranch running in high gear.

I know many of us on your advisory board will miss you.
