To the editor:

Because I was the lucky winner of a $25 gift certificate donated by Book Bay Book Store, Freeland, I made it a point after attending the April 2010 Genealogy Seminar to visit the business. It offers maps, charts and books on Whidbey Island, as well as musical CDs by local artists, and books on a wide range of subjects for preschoolers, children grades K-12, teens and adults of all ages.

I was not only impressed with the quality and quantity of stock on hand, but also the friendly customer service from the staff. They were only too happy to order a rare book of my choice that was not part of their current stock. You who reside on the south end of Whidbey Island have a “gem” within your reach.
