The annual Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club Open Turkey Shoot is on Saturday, Nov. 20.

The event starts at 11 a.m. and lasts until 50 frozen turkeys are awarded to the sharpshooting winners.

Five shooters line up and shoot 10 shots at soaring clay targets — two at each station. The best shot wins a turkey, and advances to the next round with other winners to try for another turkey.

The four non-winners try again with other first-tier shooters.

Five chances cost $25, and the shoot is open to all. Shotgun shells are available at the club. Shooters younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The club is located one mile southeast of Langley on Brooks Hill/Bayview Road.
