Newman wins NWAACC tennis title

Lindsey Newman won the 2011 Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) tennis tournament.

She defeated Anissa Bryant-Swift from Bellevue College 6-3, 6-4 on May 15 in Spokane. The victory was her second consecutive tennis singles title. Newman is a student at, and plays for, Skagit Valley Community College.

Newman is a South Whidbey alumna and the sister of current South Whidbey students and tennis stars Riley Newman, a senior, and Hayley Newman, a sophomore.
