Islanders girls soccer wins title

The South Whidbey Islanders U-12 girls soccer team won the division championship 5-0.
The girls were led by coaches Cliff Bjork and Kristen Pederson and celebrated their championship by dousing Bjork in Gatorade after the game on South Whidbey on Nov. 12. The Islanders only lost one match this season and were perfect against the Coupeville and Oak Harbor squads.
The Islanders are Emma Barker, Karalee Bergsma, Emma Blasko, Lily Bjork, Mikayla Hezel, Celeste Demartini, Eve Pederson, Sarah Rodden, Elli Sandberg, Kioko Thalen, Bailey Todd, Courtney Todd and Carmen Warwick.
