LANGLEY – Sultan made 10-of-12 free throws in the final quarter to beat South Whidbey 40-33.

The Falcon boys basketball team defended well, holding Turk junior Brock VandenEkart to 15 points, leading all scorers. South Whidbey finished the game without scoring a three-point shot, and only shot six free throws – in the game. Instead, the Falcons relied on an interior offense generated by senior forward Zach Comfort (12 points, 10 rebounds) and point guard Sam Lee with 14 points.

South Whidbey has a long bus ride to Seaside, Oregon tomorrow. The Falcons are playing in the Seaside Holiday Classic basketball tournament from Dec. 15 to Dec. 17.
