Seniors secure South Whidbey boys basketball team's final win against Lakewood

LANGLEY - In their final game, South Whidbey seniors Sam Lee and Zach Comfort combined to score 39 points to defeat Lakewood 57-54.

The Falcons regained the lead in the fourth quarter and held off a feisty Cougars' squad that cut a five-point lead to two with 16 seconds left.

Lakewood finished the Cascade Conference season 5-9 and was 6-14 overall. The Cougars placed sixth in the conference and missed the district playoffs.

South Whidbey also missed the postseason with a 4-10 league record (7-13 overall).
