Cougars trounce Falcon softball

The Lakewood Cougars beat the South Whidbey Falcons 12-2 in six innings Wednesday.

It was the final Cascade Conference game for South Whidbey before the District 1 2A softball tournament begins next week.

The Falcons finished the regular season with three consecutive losses. South Whidbey (7-11 Cascade Conference, 8-12 overall) will host Sehome (5-6 Northwest Conference, 7-10 overall) in the play-in game at 4 p.m. Monday, May 14. The winner travels to face Lynden at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.
