Whidbey Triathlon needs volunteers

July 31, 2012 · Updated 2:25 PM

Whidbey Triathlon organizers from the South Whidbey Parks & Recreation need a little help this year. The parks district has requested more than 100 volunteers to support the swim, bike and run event at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 that begins at Goss Lake and ends at Community Park. Volunteers perform duties ranging from trail marshals to cleaning the course after the race.

To volunteer, call the parks district office at 221-5484 or email programs@whidbey.com.
