Shooters can head to the Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club for the sporting clays championship this weekend.

Four events, open to the public, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. The first will be standard sporting clays that begin easy and become more difficult. Each round will have 25 birds and will include two-shot singles, report doubles and true doubles.

The final event will be the Argentine with 25 birds in eight-second intervals. One shooter at a time will take aim.

Entry costs $35 and includes lunch. Prizes will be awarded for each event and a buckle will be given to the overall winner.
