Fishin’ Club dines for children’s fund

The Fishin’ Club extends an invitation to everyone to attend a fundraiser dinner that benefits the Forgotten Children’s Fund.

The Forgotten Children’s Fund is an all-volunteer organization that raises money to purchase, wrap and deliver gifts to needy children and families in Washington. In recent years, the nonprofit has served more than 2,900 children and 800 families.

The dinner is at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at the M-Bar-C Ranch in Freeland. The buffet dinner will be available promptly at 6 p.m., and organizers encourage guests to arrive early to purchase dinner tickets, mingle with club members and buy tickets for the raffle after dinner. Joe Pine, the ranch’s chef, will prepare a meal consisting of penne pasta in tomato sauce with side servings of mild italian sausage, peppers and onions, chef salad, garlic bread and Hawaiian wedding cake. Assorted beverages are included in the $10 per person donation.
