The South Whidbey baseball team's playoff game against Cascade Conference leader Lakewood was cancelled due to rain Saturday. The contest against the Cougars had been scheduled for 4 p.m. at Anacortes' Volunteer Park.

"Well, there's not much we can do about the weather," said Falcon coach Dave Guetlin said. "It's been like this all spring."

Following their surprise 3-2 win over the Anacortes Seahawks in a league crossover game on April 30, the boys were hoping to get even for the three losses to Lakewood earlier in the season.

The game was rescheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, May 5 at Volunteer Park.
