March 6, 2013 · Updated 9:15 AM
Young athletes of the world’s game — soccer — will have a chance to play this spring.
Registered players in the South Whidbey Youth Soccer Club, U-10 to U-14, will have a season from mid-April to Mid-May. U-6 and U-8 teams will also start in mid-April.
The youth soccer club’s board chose to enter the North County Youth Soccer League for its spring season this year after considering input from coaches, parents and players.
Teams will likely play three road games and three home games at the Langley Sports Complex.
Registration is open until March 15. The cost for the spring season is $68 for U-6 to U-8 and $90 for U-10 to U-14. Uniforms cost $12 for U-6 and U-8, $20 for U-10, and $40 for U-11 to U-14.
Registration, which is handled by an online, third-party vendor, and instructions are available at the club’s website, https://swysc.com/registration-instructions/
