The Whidbey Crabs opened their season with a 7-3 road victory over the Mountlake Terrace Twins.

Connor Antich led the Crabs with a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate and closed on the mound in the seventh inning.

Trent Piehler started the contest as Whidbey’s pitcher and allowed one run. Will Simms came in as relief and pitched three scoreless innings. Lewis Pope pitched the sixth inning before Antich closed the game.

The Crabs pounded 11 hits with Simms and Austin Sterba contributing two hits each. Antich and Simms delivered triples in the second inning that gave the Crabs the lead.
