Cedarcrest surges late against South Whidbey baseball

Cedarcrest seized its opportunity late in a game against South Whidbey baseball.

The Red Wolves broke from a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning with eight runs. South Whidbey’s seventh-inning rally fell short.

Brent Piehler pitched through five innings for South Whidbey. Colton Sterba came on in relief in the sixth and Jack Lewis closed the game in the seventh.  Mo Hamsa and Piehler each knocked doubles in the 10-4 loss Monday at South Whidbey High School.
