Schultz leads South Whidbey girls golf over Sultan

Don’t look now, but South Whidbey girls golf is perfect through its Cascade Conference matches.

The Falcons beat the Sultan Turks last week behind senior Chelsey Schultz’s 21 points. The match was conducted under a modified Stableford scoring system.

Through nine holes, Sultan’s Hannah Prentice led her squad with 23 points on her home Blue Boy Golf Course. Coupeville’s Christine Fields, the school’s only girl golfer, was the match’s medalist with 30 points.

Hannah Cotton and Jenna Kaik, both seniors, tied with 16 points for South Whidbey. Grace Stringer followed with 15 and Tera Moore rounded out the Falcons’ scoring with 13 points.
