When it comes to beating Oak Habor, the Falcon girls golf team may need a different scoring format.

For the second time this season, the girls lost a dual meet to the Wildcats 98-96 in Stableford format. The scoring system gives golfers hole-weighted scores based on whether they hit aces, eagles, birdies, pars and bogies.

At Useless Bay Golf Course Thursday, the Falcons were close the whole way. Taryn Langlois was the medalist with a par and bogie 27. Maria Zontine's 23 was second best for the Falcons. Adrienne Hawley stroked an 18, Hailei Mansfield a 17, Jessica Johnson an 11 and Jennifer Pan an 8.

Wildcat Kate Waller kept the match tight by staying close to Langlois with a 26.

Falcon Coach Tom Sage said he looks forward to playing Oak Harbor again this season.
