The Langley Middle School wrestlers won their away meet Monday against Granite Falls.
According to Coach Jim Thompson, the Cougars won 84-24 after all the boys who wrestled won their matches. The team gave up 24 points in forfeited matches by not having enough wrestlers on the team for every weight class.
All our wrestlers that wrestled won on pins, he said. I dont remember that ever happening before.
The wrestlers who won on pins include Mitchell Rueth, Caleb Nerison, James Schorr, Aaron Mannie, Brett Warwick, Vincent Messina, Levi Sawyers, Bazil Dolan, Justin LaClair, Nate Lennon, Kyle Hoch, Richard Rangell and Trapper Rawls. Wyatt Jarvis, who wrestled in an exhibition match, also won by a pin.
It was just kind of amazing that all our kids won by pins, Thompson said.
The Cougars will host their next home meet at against Sultan Feb. 25.
