Whidbey Triathlon features young, old, new

The 17th annual Whidbey Triathlon will wind its way through Langley this Saturday.

At nearly 24 miles, the Olympic distance course starts at Goss Lake for a half-mile swim. From there, the sometimes disoriented racers stagger up the lake’s banks to begin the cycling portion. Bikers start on an incline that treks along Saratoga Passage, then loops to Community Park. The race begins at 10 a.m. Aug. 3.
