Members-only Central Whidbey gun club opens range

Firearm enthusiasts have a chance to shoot on the Central Whidbey Sportsmen’s Association range a few times this summer.

The range in Coupeville will be open to non-members Aug. 25 and Sept. 22. A fee of $5 per firearm for adults and $2 per firearm for children under 14 years old is required, however. Fees are waived for active duty military.

The range will provide one target. Shooters may bring their own paper targets. Additional targets cost $1 each. Targets will be set at 25, 50, 100, and 200 yards.

The firing line is covered, shooting benches, rests and spotter assistance will be available.

CWSA is located 2.5 miles south of Coupeville.
