Oak Harbor claimed a 1-0 victory over the South Whidbey girls soccer team Tuesday in the season opener for both squads.

The score came in the first half on Oak Harbor’s Lauryn Plush’s goal, and the Wildcats’ defense held the Falcons scoreless. South Whidbey has an unusually long break before its next match Tuesday, Sept. 17, when the Falcons host the King’s Lady Knights in the first conference contest for both teams.
