3 Falcons honored by North Sound Conference / Girls basketball

Three members of the South Whidbey High School girls basketball team received postseason honors from the North Sound Conference recently.

Junior Kayla Knauer and sophomore Emma Hodson each earned honorable mention.

Senior Farriss Jokinen was selected to receive South Whidbey’s Sportsmanship Award.

Coach Jeff Hanson awarded varsity letters to 10 players this season, led by seniors Jokinen and Lexi Starets-Foote.

Junior letter winners were Knauer and Arianna Briggs.

Sophomores picking up letters were Hodson, Ashley Lynch, Sammi Daly and Rachel Harder.

Freshman Mary Moss also lettered.

The Falcons finished in sixth place in the North Sound Conference with a 0-10 record; they were 2-18 overall.
