The South Whidbey girls golf team lost to the Lakewood Cougars Tuesday at Holmes Harbor Golf Club, 76-84, under Stableford scoring rules.

Stableford scoring systems are stroke-play formats in which the high total wins, not the low. In Stableford, the final score is not the stroke total, but rather the total points a golfer has earned for scores on each individual hole.

For South Whidbey, Brandi Winn scored 18 points and Sydney Miller, 17.

The Falcon girls travel to Archbishop Murphy on Thursday, then host Sultan at

3 p.m. Monday, April 20 at Useless Bay Country Club.
