The South Whidbey boys golf team slipped on the tee, losing 205-197 to King’s Tuesday at Useless Bay Golf Club.

The Falcons are now at 7-2 in league standings.

“I think it was a combination of short and long-game issues,” Falcon coach Steve Jones said. “We weren’t at our best, that’s for sure. The Knights have a very good team, but they’re beatable.”

Brooks Guetlin shot 37 for South Whidbey, Shane Thompson 38, Chad Yingling 41, Harrison Price 44 and Perry Cooley 45.
