South Whidbey Little League needs help
June 26, 2009 · 3:09 PM
The South Whidbey Little League is hosting two All Star tournaments, one for 9/10-year-olds and the other for juniors, age 13/14. Both tournaments will be held at the South Whidbey Community Park ballfields, starting on July 5. There are many volunteer positions to fill.
“Any help would be appreciated,” said tournament director Bob Boenish.
Umpires are especially needed for each date from July 5 to July 10. Volunteers are also needed for keeping the home book, as pitch counters and for field preparation.
Training is available for keeping book.
“If you know somebody that might be interested in helping, get the word out,” Boenish said.
For details, or to volunteer, call Boenish at 341-1401 or bobndee@whidbey.com.
