As part of the Choochokam Arts festival next month in Langley, a half-marathon will be run starting at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 12.

The race begins at the corner of Second Street and De Bruyn Avenue, finishing at the main Choochokam Arts stage 13.1 miles later.

“New for this year is a 10-kilometer walk event,” said race organizer Matt Simms. “The race benefits the South Whidbey Parks Foundation.”

To register, visit the race Web site at www.langleyhalfmarathon.com. Runners can also sign up at the race booth at Choochokam Arts on Saturday, July 11 or at the starting line on race morning.
