5 to play in bi-district for South Whidbey / Boys golf

The South Whidbey High School boys golf team will send five members to the bi-district tournament May 17 at the North Bellingham Golf Course.

The Falcons — Ryan Wenzek, Gabe Jacobson-Ross, Brent DeWolf, Soren Bratrude and Noah Ratcliff — finished among the top 30 at the sub-district tournament Thursday, May 10, at North Bellingham to earn the trip to bi-district.

Wenzek tied for seventh with a 16-over 88, two shots and one spot ahead of Jacobson-Ross.

DeWolf shot 97, good for 12th, followed by Bratrude (98, 13th) and Ratcliff (100, 18th).

Grayson Giboney of King’s shot an even-par 72 to take medalist honors in the field or 43..
