In order to practice on the first day — Aug. 19 for football, Aug. 24 for all other sports — South Whidbey High School students must have a current physical with all information and signatures, good for two years; medical insurance through a family medical policy or a purchased school plan; and a completed emergency information card.

Participants must also purchase an ASB card and pay a participation fee of $50 per sport.

In order to participate in games or meets, students must have 12 practices in football and 10 practices in volleyball, soccer, tennis, cross country and cheerleading.

Practices do not count until all physicals and insurance information is completed and on file in the school office. Only one practice per day counts toward the practice requirement.

For individual sport information, contact athletic director John Patton at 221-6808,

ext. 5408.
