Girls Basketball: South Whidbey loses to Granite Falls, drops 11th straight

The Falcon girls basketball team lost its 11th straight game of the season 45-35 to the Granite Falls Tigers on Tuesday.

The game was tied 6-6 after the first quarter, but South Whidbey fell behind in the second to make it 17-13 at the half. Granite moved ahead by seven points in the fourth despite the best efforts of Falcon forward Cayla Calderwood, who managed 17 points on the night.

Ashlinn Prosch had seven points and Courtney Linehan three.

At 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, the girls host Coupeville.
