Girls Basketball: South Whidbey girls drop one to Archbishop Murphy

The South Whidbey girls basketball team lost 69-27 to Archbishop Murphy Friday. Wildcats Sam Pettinger, Savannah Fletcher and Shelby Lyman dominated the first quarter’s action, scoring all of Archbishop Murphy’s 25 points as the Wildcats rolled to the Cascade Conference win.

South Whidbey is now 0-6 in the Cascade Conference standings and 0-12 overall. Murphy remains undefeated at 6-0.

Falcon Ashlinn Prosch led scoring for South Whidbey with 13 points; South Whidbey’s Cayla Calderwood had 10 points and five rebounds.

At 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29 the Falcon girls host Lakewood (also 0-6, 0-12) in Erikson Gym.
