South Whidbey came out blazing in the second half — the Falcons’ Riley Newman torched the net for a game-high 32 points — and the team closed the gap to one point by the start of the fourth, 53-52.
The Cougars outpaced the Falcons 17-14 in the final quarter to preserve the win.
