The Turks used a timely fourth-quarter rally to top South Whidbey in girls basketball late last week in Sultan.

Sultan pulled to an early three-point lead, but the Falcons evened the score by halftime, 19-19.

After a close third quarter, and the Turks up by two, Sultan outscored South Whidbey 16-8 in the final stanza to secure the victory.

Ashlinn Prosch paced the Falcons with 14, while Cayla Calderwood and Reilly O’Sullivan added eight points each. Alannah Alber added seven, Courtney Linehan had five and Annalies Schuster chipped in one.

With an earlier 53-43 loss to Cedarcrest last week, South Whidbey’s record stood at 2-8 in the league, 2-14 overall. Sultan improved to 8-2, 11-5.
